Zebra Wood

What exactly is "zebra wood"?

Zebra wood is a sustainable wood that is characterized by its stripped grain.  It has dark lines running through lighter browns, creating a rich and unique wooden look.

This wood style can come from many different trees, making it a very environmentally friendly resource to use.

The list of trees includes the following:

Astronium graveolens (Central America), Microberlinia brazzavillensis (Central Africa), Astronium fraxinifolium (Brazillian), Brachystegia spiciformis (African), Guettarda speciosa (Pacific), and Pistacia integerrima (Asian).

This wood is a hardwood with a beautiful, exotic grain.  Usually used for decorative pieces when dealing with wood.
