The Importance of our 400 UV Rating and Polarization

All of our glasses are rated UV 400. This is the best protection sunglasses can offer from harmful UV rays, but what exactly does this mean?

UV 400 means that 100% of UV light is blocked up to 400 nanometers. This blocks both UVA and UV light, protecting your vision from deteriorating.

It is known that aside from skin cancer (wear your sunscreen!!) that UV light can cause macular degeneration and other eye conditions. Do not take your vision for granted, and protect your eyes when having fun in the sun!

Furthermore, our glasses are all polarized. This helps reduce glare from water, snow, metal, and many other sources!

Polarization works by only allowing light from 1 direction into your view, allowing you to see through the glare of water.
